About us
The Comets Community Project is an exciting venture which aims to provide the local youth and community with a centre offering steel pan, drum kit and percussion tuition as well as the potential for other musical and artistic activities.
The Project is open to various age groups and musical abilities, so whatever your talent, we’ll have you playing along in no time. If you’ve always wanted to have a go, now could be the right time!
We play at the Pan Pavilion, Auckland Road Playing Fields, Auckland Road, London SE19 2DH. We currently have classes on Monday and Thursday evenings.
The Comets orchestras perform at a wide range of events, including street entertainment in Croydon, and we have taken part in the Notting Hill Carnival in 2006 and 2007.
