The Comets Community Project are proud to present their first DVD.

Our Winter Festival took place on Sunday 2nd December 2007, and was a truly spectacular evening. This DVD is a lasting memory to the wealth of talent that Croydon, and in particular the Comets Community Project, has to offer.

We had a great day in Croydon High Street on 22 December, amidst the crowds of pre-Christmas shoppers. You can see a couple of videos as follows:

The concert on 2 December was a great success. We’re delighted with how many friends and supporters came along.

All three orchestras performed really well - we’re particularly delighted to have given the Junior Orchestra their first chance to perform in public - and the duet by “players of the year” Marlon Hibbert and Andy Silk was brilliant.

We were joined by the Harris Academy at South Norwood choir - with a solo performance from Tonya Virgo - and by the JTS Community Arts Academy.

I am so grateful for everyone who made this a memorable evening - including not just the performers, but those dealing with sound, lighting, music, refreshments etc.
